Aviva Canada Insurance Claims

Aviva Insurance policyholders, whether it be personal or commercial insurance can expect the following steps when they are making a claim:

  1. Call and Report. Call Aviva directly at 1-866-MY AVIVA (1-866-692-8482). This service is available 24 hours a day, all year. If you have an insurance broker, you also have the option to report the claim to your broker.
  2. Claim Assessment. The policyholder claims can either be handled by phone if it's simple enough, or Aviva will send an adjuster so that your claim can be better evaluated. The adjuster will be the one to assess the claim, the details of the loss, and provide an estimate should it need repairing.
  3. Getting You Back on Your Feet. The claims will be managed by Aviva’s claims specialists, and, depending on the type of loss, repairs or medical care will be arranged through Aviva’s network of medical professionals and vendors.
  4. Claim Settlement. Once the claim has been determined, Aviva can pay the policyholder directly or pay the vendors that were arranged to help you. Policyholders may have to pay a deductible depending on what type of coverage was purchased.

Claims Online

If the claim is not urgent, personal policyholders have the option to submit their auto or property claim online through the Aviva website.
